idChess and the Uzbekistan Chess Federation signed a Cooperation Memorandum

May 1, 2025

The signing of the Memorandum was an important step towards chess promotion in Uzbekistan, as well as integrating modern technologies into the training process and broadcasting of tournaments.

Under the partnership, organizers will be able to digitize and broadcast games at any level, from school to international. This not only allows recording matches for future analysis with coaches but also give fans access to live-streaming.

"We highly appreciate the potential of idChess in developing our country’s chess infrastructure. The platform has proven to be a reliable and convenient tool for online broadcasting and video recording, which is especially important for transparency and improving tournament organization. We have already successfully used the platform in the children championships under 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18, as well as in the schoolchildren championship under 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 and 17. The idChess technology workshop held in March 2025 has provided our arbiters and organizers with practical knowledge, and we are confident that further cooperation will allow us to achieve even higher standards in organization," said Bakhtiyor Djumaev, National Arbiter and Tournament Manager.
"We are happy to start a partnership with the Uzbekistan Chess Federation. We are sure that it will help bring competitions to a new level and help organizers and arbiters. Our common goal is to make chess accessible to the public, including live broadcasts and game recordings with VAR. Modern sport can no longer live without technology. We plan not only to use it but also to look for new ways of developing it," commented Petr Chernyshev, the founder of idChess.

Uzbekistan is one of the world’s most actively developing sports centers. Every year, more than 150 sporting events are held here for experienced grandmasters and young beginners. At the 45th Olympiad, players from Uzbekistan took third place in the open category.

In 2024, the World School Rapid and Blitz Championships were held in Tashkent, which brought together 269 players from 19 federations.
