The International Gymnasiade 2025 was held with the idChess broadcast

From 4 to 14 April, Serbia hosted the 2025 Gymnasiade, one of the largest competitions for school athletes around the world. The event featured 25 sports categories, including chess.

The tournament was attended by 45 young players from China, Romania, Iran, Brazil, Mexico, Kazakhstan, Montenegro, India and other countries. Participants played 9 rounds and 7 rounds, for boys and girls respectively.

The winner of the tournament in fast chess was the Iranian grandmaster Sina Movahed, who got 48½ on additional scores. The first place in blitz was taken by Chinese player Jiang Haochen with 51½ points.

In the women's competition, the best results were shown by the participants from Iran. The winner in rapid was Woman FIDE Master Melika Mohammadi with 30 points. In blitz, Rosha Akbari took first place, scoring 29 on additional indicators.
